Mid-Week Links 3.28

I've been having a crazy (but fun!) week with family in town, and haven't had time to write much.  But, I have done some reading.  Check out these great links, and let me know if you've been reading anything interesting.

The Trayvon Martin Killing, Explained -- Mother Jones
I haven't written about the Trayvon Martin killing, because there are so many other good articles about it.  But I do think that racism is at play here, and that those who kill children should face a fair trial.  I found this consistently updated post on Mother Jones very helpful.

In which boys can like babies too, you know -- Sarah Bessey
I'm trying to raise a happy, self-aware, true-to-himself son.  Babies or trucks, his passions make me happy.  I am perfectly content with Joe's nurturing side existing in perfect harmony with his more typically-masculine side. I was raised by a holistic, gentle man and I'm married to another one. Most of the men in my life do not buy into this lame, hyper-masculine stereotype, even though they exhibit strong, typically male characteristics and preferences themselves.

For Malcolm -- Conversion Diary
With adoption on my heart, I long for this little boy to have a home.  Please consider donating to his adoption fund.  Malcolm is five years old, and has cerebral palsy. He is cognitively normal, but is scheduled to be transferred to an adult mental facility in his country next month.

Hopefully I'll be able to finish up some posts soon.  Happy Wednesday!
